Architect James Jao, who did the interior, elaborated on how they transformed the lobby lounge with a splash of colors combining beautifully with teal and gray reflecting its central theme of flora and fauna giving you that natural “bio feeling” as you enter the Voi Cafe and Lounge.
The name Voi is Finnish for butter which is the dominant ingredient in their dishes, pastries, and appetizers. Butter is a versatile ingredient that can provide richness, depth of taste, and a smooth texture to a wide range of meals. Passion for butter in cooking, according to Diamond Suites Cebu Chef John Rafael Flores, can enrich the flavors and textures of many foods. And one can taste and appreciate the richness and complete flavor of the meals served at Voi Cafe + Lounge.
WHAT’S COOKING AT VOI CAFE + LOUNGE
SMALL BITES: KOREAN SHRIMP
Shrimp sautéed in butter with Korean spice and garlic with a squeeze of lemon juice.
SMALL BITES: WHITE SAUCE CHICKEN POPCORN
Deep-fried boneless chicken with salt and cayenne pepper and served with a cheese-based sauce on the side. Though they are just tiny bits of chicken pops, it’s filling for an appetizer and savory, too.
SMALL BITES: CHORIZO DE CEBU FLATBREAD
Homemade flatbread topped with Cebu’s ever-popular sweet chorizo, marinara sauce, white onions, cheese, and mayonnaise drizzle.
SOUP: MUSHROOM AND POTATO
Pureed Shitake mushrooms boiled in a creamy broth with potatoes with a drizzle of black truffle oil and fresh parsley. This is one delicious mushroom soup that I’ve tasted.
IN BETWEEN: DIAMOND BACON AND CHEESEBURGER
Quarter-pound Angus beef burger patty on a brioche bun with bacon, yellow cheese, and 1K sauce; served with homemade sweet potato chips. Noticed the unique way of serving their burger? I truly enjoyed this burger and chips. I consider this one heavy meal that is ideal for sharing.
IN BETWEEN: BEEF AND GRAVY
Slow-cooked beef smothered with brown gravy, topped with onions and cheese in a hotdog bun, and served with homemade sweet potato chips.
MAIN MEALS: CHOPS WITH RELISH COMPOUND BUTTER
Juicy grilled thick-cut pork chops topped with pickle relish compound butter with a serving of haricot verts and white rice. These chops are so juicy and bursting with flavors.
MAIN MEALS: HAM AND CHEESE CHICKEN
Breaded and fried chicken breast stuffed with ham and cheese with sweet mustard sauce, haricot verts, and white rice
MAIN MEALS: SEARED SALMON
Pan-seared salmon fillet on a bed of honey and balsamic vinegar reduction, and served with broccoli sautéed in bacon fat and lemon wedge. I love how this was perfectly seared without compromising the texture of the salmon.
SWEET TOOTH: FLOURLESS CAKE
Chocolate-based cake with a layer of sponge and chocolate mousse, topped with freshly whipped cream. Lost count of how many pieces I have eaten because I love how chocolatey rich it is. And the sheer pleasure when it melts in your mouth is heavenly good!
SWEET TOOTH: UBE AND CHEESE DOUGHNUTS
Deep fried doughnut balls stuffed with ube custard and yellow cheese, topped with confectioner’s sugar. I find this dessert a very filling one that eating a piece is enough for me.
SWEET TOOTH: CARROT AND PINEAPPLE
Homemade carrot cake mixed with crushed pineapples, coated in cream cheese frosting and topped with toasted cashew.
Voi Cafe + Lounge offers a variety of drinks and beverages, including coffee, tea, soda, and juice. Hot beverages are available in different flavors and strengths, ranging from cappuccino to espresso. Cold beverages include iced coffee and their new line of exclusive raspberry and power drinks. For those looking for a refreshing drink, there are smoothies and milkshakes available. One interesting fact about their drinks is that instead of using chocolate powder, they make their mochaccino with genuine local tablea ganache.

F&B Manager Noven Aurelio discussed the concept of developing power drinks as a new addition to their menu. It is extremely nutritious since it contains vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes that help replenish lost fluids and nutrients which makes it perfect for hydration. They also made certain that it has no sugar, only pure juice.
Diamond Suites Cebu General Manager Katherine Angala stated that the consumption of healthy or power drinks for hydration is becoming more popular lately. As a result, they wish to embrace that philosophy and highlight the healthy aspect of Voi Café + Lounge.
