Seda Central Bloc Cebu joins Cebu Food & Wine Festival

Seda Central Bloc Cebu, the only hotel in Cebu I.T. Park, is excited to announce its Inasal Festival, which will take place from June 9 to 15, 2023, as part of the Cebu Food and Wine Festival.

The Cebu Food and Wine Festival is an annual event that honors Cebu’s rich culinary heritage. It promotes the province as a culinary destination and supports local food and beverage establishments by highlighting the region’s rich flavors, ingredients, and creative chefs.

The promotion at Seda Central Bloc Cebu focuses on two renowned Cebuano dishes: Lechon de Cebu and Chicken Inasal. Crisanto Palang, the hotel’s Sous Chef famed for his expertise of Lechon de Cebu, and Seda Capitol Central’s visiting chef, Edwin Infante, a master of Chicken Inasal, collaborate to create this gastronomic delight.

Chef Palang has been in the culinary industry for 17 years. Chef Palang hails from Carcar, Cebu, the renowned origin of Cebu’s finest lechon, and is a true lechonero at heart, with an instinctive enthusiasm for this traditional delicacy. While keeping the originality of the recipe, he uses his expertise to create what has become the signature cuisine of Seda Central Bloc Cebu: Lechon de Cebu.

Chef Edwin Infante, from Seda Capitol Central in Bacolod, is a guest chef in Cebu. Chef Edwin has decades of culinary experience in prestigious restaurants and hotels around the world. He finally returned to his birthplace of Bacolod, determined to resurrect long-forgotten and time-honored dishes while infusing them with fresh and intriguing twists to create the perfect balance between creativity and homey flavors. He brings the tantalizing aromas of Bacolod’s Chicken Inasal to Seda Central Bloc Cebu just in time for the Cebu Food and Wine Festival.

The Inasal Festival is available at Misto on June 9-15, 2023 as part of the daily lunch buffet, available from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM (Php 849 net), and the weekend dinner buffet on Friday & Saturday from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Php 999 net).​
