Last weekend, I was craving for some meat fest after having lost my appetite from being under the weather for days. So Monday came, I was planning to eat out after my work tasks in the morning then talking about perfect timing when I got an invitation from Bai Hotel to try something new from one of their dining outlets, Marble + Grain Steakhouse.
The fine-dining steakhouse has cooked up a sumptuous and mouthwatering offering for the month of December, the Churrasco Platter. When I saw the whole spread of meat overload on the platter I was so ready to savor and devour meat by meat!

The whole spread lets you experience LUXURY in gastronomic bites of all the delicious meats – Lamb Chop, Chicken, Pork loin steak, Flank Steak, and Hungarian Sausage with Salsa, Chimichurri and Chef’s signature steak sauce and it comes with 4 servings of mashed potato or rice.
MY FIRST DIBS WITH THE CHURRASCO PLATTER
During the media launch yesterday, each guest was given a “sampler” with all the meat and sauces and was also given a choice of mashed potato or rice to pair with the meat. I chose rice because I am a HUGE rice eater! Like they say in the Philippines, “Rice is LIFER” hehehe
The soup was definitely a good starter for a meat fest because it is one comforting soup that is full of flavor and best paired with the garlic bread which has the right crisp and taste.
Whenever I eat something new in a restaurant, I always eat the meat without dipping any sauce to it. Just want to savor its natural flavor and I love how every meat can stand alone and taste so good without the sauce.
Then I paired it with salsa, Chimichurri, and the Chef’s signature sauce. Of the three, the Chimichurri is quite something new to me. I’m still not all down for dominant flavors of parsley and garlic to it, I still go for salsa anytime. I don’t know, there’s something special about pairing my meat with the spicy tomato-chili-based sauce. So, it’s salsa over chimichurri!
As for the Chef’s signature sauce, I simply love how the gravy was reduced to make it watery but still it’s bursting with flavors so it totally meshed well with the chops and the steak.
