I always love Sundays because it gives me a good reason to sleep in without the alarm bugging me to high heavens. That’s why brunch makes perfect sense on a Sunday. You can eat pancakes, chicken and desserts in one meal with your choice of beverage. Then you fall into a food coma after a hearty and sumptuous brunch for a few hours without having to worry about work.
That’s what I felt with my first brunch at KAYU: Kitchen + Bar.
It felt like HOME on a Sunday with great food over a good conversation with some good company
As I stepped in the restaurant, I love how cozy and intimate the place is. Ideal for a delectable dining experience.

AL FRESCO
THE BAR
WHEN BREAKFAST AND LUNCH COLLIDES
What caught my attention was a good spread of greens, cheese, pastries, pancakes & waffles combo, pasta, chicken, bacon, pork belly, fried fish, fruits, and desserts. For a brunch person like me, the whole spread is totally enticing and makes you wish every day is Sunday LOLS.
MEUSLI
It is made of yogurt cream, oatmeal topped with granola crumbs. Not an oatmeal person but this one is AN EXCEPTION! Love this one 🙂
BUTTERSCOTCH BUDINO
It’s like eating yema but with a little twist! I love how they make this little cute spoon (tastes like peanut browas) for you to scoop in 🙂
WHITE CHOCOLATE CHIP WITH COOKIE DOUGH
As I was about to finish one of my favorite desserts, their Chocolate Fudge Bars, I gave my compliments to Chef Izzy of how much I enjoyed the brunch especially their Meusli, Sticky Buns, Crispy Fried Bacon, BBQ Chicken Lasagna, Slow Roasted Pork Belly with its Chasseur Gravy and Butterscotch Budino. Then he offered some homemade ice cream to cap my brunch experience. Now who am I to say NO to ice cream? (The ice cream is not included in the buffet so you may order these from their menu)
All three were so good and delicious but the white chocolate chip with cookie dough is hands down my favorite. It’s a perfect sweet chunky ice cream that doesn’t overwhelm your palates so you can enjoy a whole bowl of it!
Now I’m full to the brim with a huge smile on my face 🙂
So if you’re looking for a good worthy buffet, check out this restaurant because Kayu: Kitchen + Bar brings you a sumptuous gastronomic experience that will satisfy your palates to no end. Indeed, Sunday brunch at Kayu: Kitchen + Bar is always a good thing!
Note: Kids 2 years & below get to enjoy the buffet for free.
