From the moment we stepped into our Seaview Junior Suite, we instantly felt at home. The room’s décor, inspired by Cebuano art and culture, exuded both warmth and elegance. The pillows and sheets were incredibly soft — the kind that tempts you to stay in bed all day.
But what truly stole our hearts was the breathtaking ocean view right outside our window. Each morning, we woke up to the calm blue horizon of Mactan Newtown Beach — the perfect backdrop for slow mornings and heartfelt conversations.
And then came the sweetest surprise: a beautifully crafted anniversary cake from Belmont Hotel! It was such a thoughtful gesture that made our celebration extra special. We spent our first afternoon lounging in our cozy living area, sipping iced coffee, sharing the cake, and enjoying a quiet, lazy evening before dinner.
Belmont Café: Every Bite Tells a Story
Dinner at Belmont Café was an absolute treat. Their Luzon-themed Saturday dinner buffet was a feast of flavors — the pares overload and flavorful soup were our instant favorites. And just when we thought the surprises were over, the ever-smiling staff brought out another anniversary cake! Their warmth and cheer made us feel like we were celebrating with family.
The next morning’s breakfast buffet was just as delightful. From continental to Asian breakfast options, everything was freshly made and satisfying. There’s something about enjoying hot coffee, good food, and a sunny morning view that just sets the tone for a perfect day.
Beach Bliss at Mactan Newtown Beach
After breakfast, we hopped on Belmont’s free shuttle (which leaves every two hours starting at 10 AM) and headed to Mactan Newtown Beach Resort. This is a perk that Belmont guests enjoy for free with a beach pass from the front desk.
The beach was bustling that Sunday, but it was easy to see why. The water was inviting, and the weather was perfect to have fun under the sun. As we explored, we stumbled upon the Ceremony Garden, a picturesque spot overlooking the Mactan Channel — truly a dream location for special moments and events.
Back at the hotel, we couldn’t resist taking a dip in the pool and soaking up the sun with refreshing drinks from the bar. For lunch, we decided to explore nearby Mactan Newtown for a quick food adventure — a perfect way to wrap up our relaxing weekend escape.
