First off, my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by the recent earthquake here in Cebu. I hope you’re all safe and surrounded by your loved ones. Let’s continue to lift each other up and support our community in every way we can.
Amidst everything, I want to share a little light and gratitude — foodtrailwithbeyee.com has been chosen as a Finalist for the Best Cebu Blogs Awards 2025 – Best Cebu Food Blog Category!

This recognition isn’t just for me — it’s for all of you who’ve joined me along this food trail. Thank you for cheering me on, reading my stories, and sharing in my love for Cebu’s vibrant food culture. Every comment, message, and share means the world to me. To everyone who believed in me, nominated me, and voted — I’m truly grateful for your support.
How It All Began
For those who don’t know me yet, Hi! I’m Beyee Caballes, the lady behind lifeisbeyeeutiful and foodtrailwithbeyee. My food journey started way back in 2009, when I would post food photos and short write-ups on forums, WordPress, Blogspot, and Instagram. I wasn’t serious about blogging then — it was just a fun food diary inspired by my family’s love for food trips.
In 2017, when I left my day job, I decided to give blogging my full attention. For three years, it became my world — covering food events, writing stories, and connecting with fellow foodies. Then the pandemic hit, and everything changed.
The events scene went silent, and I suddenly had so much time to think, create, and rediscover what truly made me happy. That’s when foodtrailwithbeyee was born — my little corner to share how food has always been my comfort, my passion, and my way of finding joy in uncertain times.

Finding Purpose Through Food
What started as a creative outlet soon grew into something more meaningful. I began receiving messages from readers thanking me for my recommendations. Some small business owners even shared how their sales improved after I featured their dishes. Reading their stories warmed my heart — it made me realize that my simple love for food could make a difference.
Fast forward to today — this is my third nomination for the Best Cebu Blogs Awards, and it still feels surreal. I haven’t been as active in events lately because of my full-time job, but this new chapter helped me reconnect with what I truly love about blogging: telling stories.
These days, I enjoy exploring restaurants quietly on my own — not as an invited blogger, but as a diner rediscovering Cebu’s flavors one meal at a time. I write slower now, savoring every story, every bite, and every memory — no pressure, no deadlines, just pure joy.

The Heart of Blogging Lives On
People often say blogging is dead now that reels and short videos dominate our feeds. But I beg to differ. Storytelling will never go out of style. Whether through words, photos, or videos, the heart of blogging — to share stories that connect people — will always live on.
Being nominated again, and to stand alongside two amazing food bloggers I deeply respect — Cebuano Cravings and Chibugan Kini — is an honor. This recognition isn’t just a milestone; it’s a reminder that passion and authenticity still matter in this ever-changing digital space.
Food blogging has not only helped others discover great food — it has helped me heal, grow, and find my voice during one of the toughest times of my life.
A Toast to BCBA and Its Supporters
The Best Cebu Blogs Awards (BCBA) has played such an important role in my blogging journey. It’s more than just an award — it’s a celebration of Cebuano creativity, passion, and community.
Founded by Mark M. Monta and organized by the Cebu Bloggers Society Inc., BCBA continues to honor the best of Cebu’s blogging and content creation scene. Each year, judges from all over the Philippines — from Manila, Iloilo, CDO, Davao, Gensan, and of course, Cebu — come together to recognize stories that inspire, inform, and connect people.
This year’s awards are made even more special with our Venue Sponsor and Co-Presenter, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, a place that has long supported Cebu’s creative and blogging community.

A huge shout-out as well to all our generous partners and sponsors who make BCBA possible each year.
