Last Wednesday, I received a food delivery from South Point Food Express just in time for early dinner. The food package consisted of Hamal Sisig, Hamal Chicken Feet, Sisig, Pork Adobo, and Batchoy. All these were just perfect for a cool rainy food binge.
TORTANG TALONG (rice meal Php50)
The eggplant omelette is fried with a little crisp on the exterior and the whole mix of eggplant, egg, and veggies make it into a delicious meal which is very tasty. It makes me remember my former nanny’s cooking.
HAMAL CHICKEN FEET (Php60)
This is my first time to try out a hamal dish. I like how the rice toppings is packed with boiled egg, two pieces of siomai, and two pieces of chicken feet. The siomai is so deliciously bus-ok. And the chicken feet were well-cooked and full of flavors in every bite. Graveh siya makabusog maayo!
BATCHOY (Php50/serving)
The tummy-filling noodle soup is way too big for a single serving!
Though at first when I tasted the broth, I can sense that there’s something lacking in the flavor but when I ate the noodles and the meat cuts, it enhanced the flavor of the broth. Ni-lami jud siya. I was only able to consume half of the batchoy because of how huge the serving is.
As for the HAMAL SISIG (Php60), PORK SISIG ALA CARTE (Php65), and the PORK ADOBO ALA CARTE (Php85), they tasted just right but I believe these dishes can still be improved.
As a whole, I enjoyed the food from South Point Food Express. You get your money’s worth for every meal. Hands down, my favorites are the Tortang Talong, Hamal Chicken Feet, and the Batchoy.
South Point Food Express is the kind of comfort food that makes you want to binge on on a rainy day. The homecooked meals are also perfect to cap the night after a late night gimik with friends.
