Last night, our family dinner theme was Thai and ended up in Blue Elephant – IT Park. We still went there to try the food even if we’ve read some bad reviews about the restaurant. Maybe it will be a different experience for us.
We were off to a good start since we were accommodated to our table inside and I noticed the whole interior akin to its sister resto, Krua Thai (one of my favorites) but I especially love the gray color theme of the whole resto. In the background, they’re spinning bossa nova music (not really my thing).
The menu was enticing enough and noticed it’s a tad bit costly. They have same-o same-o array of Thai food to choose from compared to other restaurants I’ve been to. Here are the stuffs which we ordered that night…
MY THOUGHTS ABOUT BLUE ELEPHANT
The Fried Crab Rice can be served for two persons. The server lied about it and told us it was only a small portion — minus brownie points for that.
The Padd Thai Noodles’ nutty texture isn’t too remarkable for me.
The Fried Prawns with Spicy Sauce tastes good and crunchy.
The Rotti’s peanut curry sauce didn’t make it to my fave-o-meter. I still like the ones in Spice and Fusion in SM North Wing.
I love the Grilled Spare Ribs with BBQ sauce. The meat is tender and grilled just right for my taste.
The Thai Spring Rolls are savory. It is best compared to Krua’s and Banana Leaf’s.
The Sticky Rice with Mango tops my list! The serving may be too small but the taste somehow compensates for it.
I enjoyed the Frozen Lemonade. It’s not too sweet for my taste.
