On a beautiful Thursday morning, my good friend, Kray, and I had an early brunch at Cafe Elim. I discovered the cafe when my sister recommended this cafe for having one of the best cakes in town. The menu has a wide spread of pastries, beverages from tea to coffee, smoothies to yogurt, yellow toast sandwiches, pasta, and sumptuous meals that can be enjoyed all day.
The interior has a cozy feel as you stepped into the cafe with warm lights filling the whole room. It gives you the “Korean-feels” just like in the KDramas that I’ve been watching in the past. They have good vibing music, too which I totally dig!
So, over brunch Kray and I ordered their yellow toast, coffee, and desserts.
BACON AND CHEESE YELLOW TOAST
Thick sliced yellow toast with a chunk of egg omelet, a slice of cheddar cheese, a generous amount of bacon slices, herbs, and drizzled with a whole lot of mayonnaise.
It was so GOOD!
The sandwich is so chunky that you have to give it a huge bite. I just love and enjoy a good sandwich that has the perfect combination of crunchy and soft texture to it.
I didn’t have any breakfast when we went there but finishing the whole thing is like having a full brunch meal. Since the serving was quite huge, I decided to eat it like an open sandwich — stacking all the filling on top of the yellow toast.
With the huge serving, generous filling, and a beverage to pair with it, I must say Cafe Elim’s bacon and cheese dip yellow toast is worth every penny!
CROFFLE
Picture this, toasted croissant + waffle topped with vanilla ice cream!
This is one of the most satisfying desserts I’ve tried. The sheer pleasure of having the warm croffle and the cool ice cream altogether in your mouth is totally GASTROGASMIC! Watch the video as I did my happy dance. (I usually dance while eating when I am happy with my food.)
Overall, I love the food, ambiance, and service. I have found a cafe where you can rely on good food aside from coffee. It’s so hard to find places like Cafe Elim nowadays.
Definitely, this will not be the last foodtrail.
